The free ebooks are available - but for Kindle Unlimited subscribers only.

The free books are out now! But there’s a catch, that I couldn’t resolve, they are only free to Kindle Unlimited subscribers. I was convinced that my 5 day promotion would be available to everyone, so if I’ve let you down, then I’m really sorry. I’m not a Kindle Unlimited subscriber so I’ve also been caught out (I purchased both ebook copies for myself this morning, they are £3 each, so a book is less than the price of a coffee). There’s always a catch, the too good to be true story strikes again. I was convinced that years ago I managed to make my first book available for anyone who was lucky enough to get the promotion, so I’ve either had a ‘senior moment’ or was simply incorrect in my assumption. This is why I was confused the other day and said there may be a delay in creating the promotion as I had issues with the Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) program.

On a lighter note I’ve been tinkering with how the book cover for Belus might look. You can see the example above. I hope you like the direction that’s taking?

If you already have copies of Dragon King and Olgrun with the old cover artwork, I think this should update if you synchronise your app in the settings. If it doesn’t work then you may need to update the app, or google how to update the Kindle cache on your device. My iPad was showing the old covers despite not having old copies on my iPad (try figuring that out). It was a bit of a faff to get things updated. In the end I managed and that was after buying the latest books.

That’s it for now. If you’re a Kindle Unlimited subscriber get your free copies as soon as you can, the promotion runs out on the 2nd May 2025.

Pete.🤓
