Using AI for book cover artwork and free e-books!
Here we are, two years later and it’s time for my weekly updates to begin once more. It’s a good feeling. I’m excited to be doing this again, clearly I’m refreshed and ready to go.π€
I’ve been experimenting with the AI application called ChatGPT and as you can see from the artwork it’s a very powerful tool for creating wonderful book covers. The above isn’t the final image, I’ll play around more to get exactly what I want, needless to say, things are heading in the right direction. I intend to create the image and then add text and titles myself, that way I can choose the fonts/colours and any 3D rendering of the letters, to really add impact.
More good news, and this is IMPORTANT. For those of you who would like to get a free e-book copy of Dragon King and Olgrun, I’ll be putting a promotion on Amazon soon and will hopefully have the new artwork ready so that I can update the book covers, giving them a completely fresh new look. I was hoping to get this done in the next day or so, although after discovering how to make these wonderful designs, things may be delayed a little, whilst I get the new artwork done. Please feel free to message me for updates on this should you feel the need to get the latest news on when the e-book promotion will be available. My books aren’t easy to find on Amazon, it’s easier to search for, The Chronicles of Niru, rather than Dragon King, etc, as so many books already have this title and mine are somewhere at the bottom of the list. If you do get free copies and enjoy them, please, please consider writing a review on Amazon to let others know that you thought the books were great (because they are, so thereπ) this way Amazon will recognise the fact they are gaining recognition and may well make them more prominent/easier to find.
I will begin writing Belus this summer, I’ll have to refresh myself on the first two novels first as there is a lot of detail to remember. However, as I’ve said, I’m looking forward to starting and expect the novel to progress reasonably quickly once I get back into the flow of writing. If memory serves me right, I think I used to produce around 3 thousand words per week; we’ll see how that goes…
I hope you enjoyed this update. There should be one every week now (slight delays may be possible due to holidays, I’ll keep you all informed). Please feel free to join in with my blog, I’ll try and turn this into a community if I can. If you prefer to stay in the background, well that’s fine too.π
That’s it for now,
Pete.π§♀️πΊπ§♀️π»π§♀️
