Been on holiday - hence no update last week.

 

Hi everyone,

This is the first update for a while as I’ve been in France on holiday with my much better half. I don’t like to advertise when I’m away from home, hence the silence of late. I’m back now and have discovered a garden that’s like a jungle and numerous other jobs that need to be done. However, I did manage to read a little more of, Dragon King, whilst I was away and hopefully will finish reading it soon. My goodness I sometimes forget what an adventure that first novel is. I must humbly report I loved it when I wrote it and I still love it now.

I’ll soon be able to read Olgrun again, and then catch up on the story so far with Belus. Then I’ll be able to continue writing the third novel in the chronicles…

France was great, visiting medieval old towns and places like Mont-Saint-Michel really stirs the imagination. Inside the fortified island are a surprising number of bars, restaurants and cafes, as well as gift shops. It’s a very busy place! The old buildings, castles and chateaus of France certainly stir the imagination. The gothic theme is right up my alley, and a home from home as far as my novels are concerned. Below is the fort at Chinon, near the Loire and steeped in history (also a stage for this year’s Tour de France).

Hopefully I’ll get the housework done over the next couple of days and then I’ll have plenty of time to get back to work reading the background material. I’ve got to fully refresh my memory for the sake of accuracy and continuity.

That’s it for now. I’m still here. I’ve just been on a little adventure…
