An acceleration

I’ve just finished writing another exciting portion of my book. This has brought an end to a series of chapters that now position me for the climatic work ahead. I hadn’t noticed the progress I was making. I have suddenly realised that the end is in sight. I’m around 80% done and what I’m finding is that my work is now accelerating as the ending approaches. I strongly suspect that this is because the storyline is now pretty much engrained in my mind. However, I still have an optional chapter that I’m considering inserting. It all depends on how the word count proceeds over the coming weeks.

I didn’t expect to make an update so soon after the last, but I’m getting excited by the prospect of finishing a novel that had been on my mind for a number of years. At one point I’d almost given up. I’m so glad I decided to see this through. The reward is the achievement itself. Once finished (not long to go now) I’ll have that magic number of 3 under my belt, a trilogy. Two books, in some ways, seemed worse than just releasing a single novel. To write 3, as a minimum, works. 

As these thoughts crept into my mind today they made me smile, so I thought I’d share the news with you, the reader, whoever you are. I hope you find something pleasurable in your day too.
