A complete revision of all the books!

After a few days of taking a break, I’m now doing the first edit of Belus. Things are going well and I had the notion of using AI to assist with the editing. Sometimes the explanations of things like, when to use a capital letter, have seemed a little confusing to understand. Research has led me to a world where ‘big words’ are thrown together in a ‘word spaghetti’ that I’m supposed to understand. Well I haven’t studied literature at university level, and I don’t get it, the layman’s terms are often missing from my quest to find definitive answers. The explanations leave me no better off, as I often need an explanation to explain the explanation - and so it goes on.

However, Google now has AI built in and at least provides useful examples, which for the most part, make sense. The internet is now assisting me better than it ever did before. With this in mind I’ve decided not only to edit this book, but also do another full edit of Dragon King, and Olgrun. It’s clear to me that all the books now need continuity regarding, amongst other things, the use of common and proper nouns. 

In short, I want to be as pleased as I can be with the grammar, as I am with the trilogy itself. Yes it will take time, but it will be worth it. To that end I will be busy for a while and will report my progress regularly on this blog. Stay with me on this. All will be good. After this is done I’m going to try again finding a literary agent who might be willing to publish my stories. I think having a trilogy might give me a slight advantage over just having one or two books to offer. I’m not optimistic, the world runs on money and it seems to me that famous/TV personalities are always going to be published, whereas an unknown isn’t very likely to be taken on, unless perhaps I’m writing about the topics that are considered valuable in our society at the moment. I’ll say no more on that, other than that’s the reality of today’s world.

If fantasy/sci-fi novels are coming back into favour, then who knows, it could be second time lucky. My books didn’t sell on Amazon and so I’ve removed them for the moment. They all need to be at their best should I decide to try again on that platform.
