Finished! So let the work begin…

The third novel, Belus, is now complete. I never thought I’d get it done, in fact at one point the idea of picking up from where I’d left off, a couple of years ago, had almost been abandoned. However, something drove me on, I just had to finish the story! So here we are on the brink of a trilogy. I now need to begin the editing process; this is going to take quite a while. I’ll edit twice and then print the manuscript before pestering my wife until she finally submits, and agrees to edit the printed version. Then I’ll edit again, whilst incorporating her corrections, and maybe her ideas too. After that I’ll have a break before having another session (cold reading is best), and possibly again, until I feel the work is ready.

I will continue with the updates. From here on in I’m really doing administration, so progress will be steady. I’d like to get everything done soon, so I’ll be getting on with things on a regular basis.

I’m delighted; it’s a weight off my shoulders. It doesn’t matter if my trilogy isn’t recognised (well, it does a bit) the main point is that it has given me a sense of achievement. I feel rewarded by the fact I’ve written it. I guess all creative souls must feel the same way. Sometimes, you just have to do what you have to do, whether you feel driven by the hope of recognition, or just by the universe talking to you and quietly nudging you to get on and do it regardless…

That’s it for now - happy days,

Pete.🧙‍♂️😊😊😊
