‘Bloody hell, Ken…’ A line that now adorns many coffee mugs, and T-shirts, taken from the Uncanny Podcast, with host Danny Robins.
This is my second entry into the Arcane Sanctum, and it truly deserves a place alongside the incredible Telepathy Tapes that had to take first position. Uncanny is a BBC series (a UK production) that delves into the world of ghosts, poltergeists, and all kinds of strange spirits. The interviews have been produced by Danny and his team and have proven to be a fantastic success, here in the UK. The interest in the subject has even led to a series of television episodes of some truly amazing cases. Danny has also put on shows in theatres that have captured audiences upon and down the country. I went to a show in Peterborough, and was highly entertained. However, I must confess that the shows do not translate as well on stage when compared to a full-blown television production.
I have said it before, but it is well worth reiterating, if just one single supernatural event is factual then our understanding of reality must be re-written. Danny has taken the topic of the paranormal, or ghost stories, to a whole new level. I urge you to listen to the podcast and watch the television series, if you can (there are two series of four episodes each at this point, with more to come, I believe).
If you use Spotify, open the app and then you can scan the code from the image above to be taken to the podcast. The story of Ken, and room 611, is amongst the myriad of ghostly tales…
When it comes to the supernatural you have to be sceptical, but that means that you must also have an open mind. If you haven’t read it yet, I urge you to read My Esoteric Truth, that can be found in
The Library. I have had some highly strange experiences myself that have led me upon a very unexpected path. The topic of the supernatural is truly fascinating. Just one single true story would be a paradigm shift in our understanding of reality, and that should not be ignored. Keep an open mind, and be observant. Do not be so hasty to discard strange events, simply because they do not fit your model of the physical world. The meta-physical underpins the foundation of everything (in my humble opinion). Physics and the other sciences can take us so far, but they will never be able to complete the puzzle without the intangible pieces that many refuse to consider.
I hope you are able to listen to Uncanny. Gripping stories, told by those that witnessed the events…
