The Telepathy Tapes

 

Some time ago I came upon the work of neuropsychiatrist and psychotherapist Dr Diane Hennacy Powell. Dr Powell was working with autistic children and had discovered that some of the children had been demonstrating telepathic abilities to their mothers. The story of how this all happened, and what research had been carried out, was picked up by media producer Ky Dickens. After Ky became involved, the lid on the subject of telepathy was well and truly lifted. A series of podcasts called The Telepathy Tapes were produced, and they began to gain a great deal of traction amongst the public at large.

I have listened to the podcast with huge interest. The findings and interviews are, at times, both heartwarming and breathtaking. There appears to be a clear message that comes through from those who demonstrate this extraordinary ability. It is one of empathy and love. Many of the children are non-speaking and were only able to communicate their thoughts having being taught how to spell by pointing at letter boards. The whole process of teaching spelling took huge amounts of time and great patience, from very skilled teachers, as the children needed to learn how to control their arms and hands effectively (apraxia had to be overcome). Once this was done, it was discovered that these autistic children had incredible things to say. They were eloquent, highly intelligent, and often took the researchers by surprise with their mature sense of reasoning, and their beautiful philosophy of life.

The series is still being updated and more episodes are being produced all the time. Since the early days, Ky has discovered similar gifts within those suffering from dementia, and even the gift of communication with animals. This series is powerful and credible. Ky has done amazing work and I wish her and her team all the very best with their endeavour to show that there is far more to our perception of reality than we currently understand. Dr Powell has done the world a great service, as have the parents of those incredible children. Without their help, none of this may have come to light.
